It's a strange setup, but I use an IBM T42 with it's original docking station that provides a PCI Slot.

I installed the Live CT4760 in that slot

I use the drivers by Philscomputerlab: https://www.philscomputerlab.com/sound-blaster-live.html

When I run the card initialization (sbecfg.com) I get the error: "SB IRQ conflicting with PCI IRQ"

HWINFO detects the card in the PCI 9, and in the BIOS I've already assigned the IRQ 7

Any ideas? It's an impossible setup?

Just a hunch, but I would not reserve IRQ 7 for the PCI device in the BIOS/firmware. A SoundBlaster Live! will consume two interrupts: one for the actual device and one for the emulated SoundBlaster.

It looks as if you reserved the IRQ you intended for the emulated SoundBlaster to use for a PCI device, which makes it unavailable to use for emulation.

[Install Win95 like you were born in 1985!] on systems like this or this.

An SB card with emulation running in DOS requires two IRQs, one for the physical card and one for the emulation. Change the PCI IRQ back to auto select and set IRQ7 in PnP configuration to Legacy/ISA. That will result in IRQ7 being clear for the emulation and the PCI card having a different IRQ.
