Could you translate the message from French to English for us? I had the same problem with both an X-fi Titanium and an Auzentech Prelude in my system. Both cards drivers install correctly, both cards show up correctly in device manager, but most of the Creative software, including Audio Console, don't run giving me a message about unsupported hardware. Prior to them (and also now again) i had an Audigy Rx working flawlessly. Tried everything imaginable, different bios settings, full uninstallation of the Rx drivers and Creative software (including using driver sweeper and manually deleting registry entries associated with Creative), deleting hidden devices from device manager, trying various versions and combinations of drivers and software, both official and Daniel K' s, all gave me the same result. This was on two different Win Xp installations that both had the Audigy Rx previously and currently installed.

"4.3 Go to Start > Programs > Creative > Creative Audio Control Panel > X-Fi CMSS-3D. I suggest turning CMSS off if you are using speakers and leaving it on if you are using headphone"

Hi Joseph_Joestar,

Well, I have Enable X-Fi CMSS 3D Virtual

and

Enable X-Fi CMSS 3D Surround

in my Creative Audio Control Panel's X-Fi CMSS CD tab

Should I uncheck both if I am playing off of stereo speakers?

Thanks!

Ultimately, that comes down to your personal preference.

I have a 5.1 surround speaker setup, and don't feel the need to use any kind of CMSS with that. In contrast, I do notice better positional audio with CMSS turned on when using headphones. As for stereo speakers, I feel like it's kinda hit or miss, possibly depending on the physical speaker placement. All I can say is, try toggling it on/off and see what sounds best to you.

It is strange that on a different XP build, I did not have this secondary option

Enable X-Fi CMSS 3D Surround

Which CMSS options you get depends on the number of connected speakers. IIRC, only a 4 speaker setup gets both Surround and Virtual.

The attachment CMSS_Virtual_Help.png is no longer available
The attachment CMSS_Surround_Help.png is no longer available

In the Creative Console Launcher click on the question mark icon to activate the help file. It will tell you what each option does.
