Perhaps something like Zalman VF900 could be suitable? I don't know if it fits the GPU area, but it might. Plus some passives for RAM and HSI.

This seems plausible and likely better than the stock cooling. I just finished a socket 462 liquid cooled build last year and I don't feel like doing another, but I might have to if I don't strike luck with aftermarket coolers.

Do you think this would work well enough for HSI? It's long enough that I can cleanly drill holes into it and use some spring mounted pegs from an old parts card. I got a VF900 and it fits the GPU area, no clearance issues with this heatsink either. Just wondering if the heatsink I found in my parts bin is big enough to handle that chip.

Yes, this heatsink with some airflow around will be good.

Maybe I should've checked to make sure the VF900 even fits the card first. This card has an asymmetrical screw mount that is incompatible with the VF900's bracket and is the only thing stopping me from using it. Annoying.

Maybe this one https://shop.bostar.cz/default.asp?cls=stoitem&stiid=18 , still for sale on some eshops?

Also for future reference to anyone with this issue, the AeroCool Double Power does not work on the 7800 GS AGP. I just imported one NOS from Czech Republic and thought it'd work with its strange looking mounting bracket, but nope, none of the holes line up. Neither does the VF900. It is a very weird arrangement of holes that is rectangular.

At least I have these for other GPUs I suppose.. Maybe this one just really wants its original stock cooler. It's not that bad.

At the end of the day you can just ditch the fan part of the original cooler and attach a 90-120mm fan via bracket in the neighboring slot: https://www.titan-cd.com/en/product/TTC-SC07TZ_RB.html

I must be some kind of standard: the anonymous gangbanger of the 21st century.

Can you put a sketch in here with the spacing holes? I'll try to find something.

Sure thing. I appreciate it!
The outer 3 holes are less important and probably even more impossible to find an exact match for. It's nice I had a caliper and scanner on hand. Measured by centers of holes.

Hi, @altarofmelektaus,
Did you tried, if it will fit turned by 180°?

We may not find a perfectly compatible one on the AGP version, but with a little DIY, this one might do the trick: https://www.tntrade.cz/produkty-primecooler-p … ion-detail-6933
The 62mm pitch doesn't quite fit, but it could sit if one hole is enlarged by a file or a Dremel, or drill one new hole.
I have a similar one made of aluminium, on the R9600XT, I attach the pitch.

Yes, in every orientation it does not fit. I believe this card has its own proprietary mount that nobody else has made heatsinks for. It will fit with two adjacent screws, but this only keeps the heatsink secured on one side. It will not work for opposite side screws.

See, that's the kind of bracket I was looking for. That's probably the closest one I've seen so far. It also looks to support the HSI chip heatsink I threw together. I'll consider looking for one!

Still on stock, even another Cu/Al version cheaper, but for 7800 I vote for full copper version.
