This is intended to be an update/continuation of DVD Games, where art thou?

The thread suggested many DVD games, but not a lot of categorizations of the differences in their CD vs DVD counterparts.

I can start with:

Claw
The X-Files
Spycraft

All having improved videos in MPEG-2 format

DreamCatcher Interactive/Aneiva Interactive first released Cydonia: Mars - The First Manned Mission on CD-ROM and then re-released the game as Lightbringer: The Next Giant Leap for Mankind on DVD-ROM. The Adventure Company/Detalion and LK Avalon released CD and DVD versions of Schizm: Mysterious Journey. The Wiki article for the game enumerates a number of differences in gameplay including elements not available in the CD-ROM version: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schizm:_Mysterious_Journey

Wing Commander IV for sure, way better DVD quality MPEG video than the CD release. Wing Commander III might have had a DVD release like that as well but I'm not sure.
