Only Wipeout 1 supports the Rage chips through ATI 3DCIF

W'O 2097 is just D3D5 but has multiple flags for different 3d chipsets, including the Rage series.

Thanks! Yes i know that the first WipeOut has CIF and WipeOut XL has Direct3D / PowerVR, it uses older DirectX3.

Ultim@te Race Pro (1998)
https://www.mobygames.com/game/2873/ultimte-race-pro/

For me and for ATi Rage Pro suits best Ultim@te Race Pro specific OEM version, listed as "Version 1.2 PB (v1.2.1.0)," it was bundled with Packard Bell computers. Also this game comes with ATi Rage Pro drivers on the CD, be it OEM or Retail version. I have not tested this game with older drivers from the CD. One strange thing - ATi Rage Pro does not have some small slowdowns in this game , but faster Rage XL/XC has. Ultim@te Race Pro update to patch 1.50 fixes slowdown issue for Rage XL/XC, but introduces some other issue to the game with all ATi Rage3 cards. I recommend 1.2 PB for all Rage3 cards or use 1.50 update for Rage XL/XC cards. Version 1.2 PB works best with my ATi 5.40x drivers and you should delete glide2x.dll from windows system folder or force -d3d to use direct3d if its with glidewrapper version of my driver! (ARx2611x3Dfx.7z = DDraw/3DCIF/Direct3D/OpenGL/GLUT/DVD/GlideWrapper / Driver download link download/file.php?id=239658)

Latest 5.40x modified driver: Re: ATi RagePro drivers and software

Did you know that there should be Ultim@te Race Rally (1998) and out there is 4 Wheel Thunder for PC?

I played Redline Racer loads back in the day on a Matrox Mystique 220. A few years ago, I played it on a Voodoo 2 SLI, and also on a Rage XL PCI. Whether using D3D or GLIDE, it’s a game that runs smoothly. This game gives the greatest sense of speed I can remember from that era; setting the refresh rate to 120Hz was quite a shock at first, in 1998, it wasn’t the norm.
On the Rage XL PCI, it ran perfectly and very fast.
Don't ask me the driver version.

Thanks! I have played Redline Racer also, but more i played MotoRacer back then.I will try SAER out, but it should be updated / enhanced version of Redline Racer and it looks different from it.

I think some of the games here can work with ATi 3D Rage, not only ATi 3D RageII (If they work with RageII, they work well with RageIII)

TOCA Touring Car Championship (1997) RageII/RagePro has issue with selected RageII option, S3 and Riva128 option work well, at least for Rage3 cards. I have used RageII, RageII+DVD, RagePro, all have the same issue, like in screenshot, someone played it back then with ATi RageII/RagePro could share what driver worked for them? Also i did try Patch 1.1a update and it has no effect fixing it for ATi. Its marketed with both ATi Rage cards, some drivers should fit for it, but which one?I have tested some older and some newer drivers, all have the same issue, i have used different colors 15bit (555) and 16bit (565), also cant see any complain from internet about this game and ATi Rage cards. Like i told before, other 3D Acceleration options work for ATi, but RageII option is not. ToCa 1 and Ati Rage II (Cif?)

That's interesting about Le Mans 24h, I've been enjoying the PS1 version recently and had no idea there was a PC version, let alone that it might run on a Rage Pro.
Are you planning to check if these games actually run ok?

Regarding Incoming, it seems to run flawlessly on Rage Pro. There is some footage here.

Yes it runs ok, some small dots was in the background forest and with one settings change from game menu it fixed it. Did not checked longer or did not try other drivers or any patches.
I may try it again, but no promises.Incoming is well optimized game for ATi Rage3 + use 565 settings from Rage Pro Tweaker or Reduce Dithering Effect with Rage23Dev tool (no install)

MechWarrior 2: 31st Century Combat (1995/1996 PC) @ Rage/Rage2/Rage3
https://www.mobygames.com/game/106/mechwarrio … century-combat/

What is the difference between version 1.0 and 1.3, later better?
Rage 3 speed fix, but what version of the game was used there?
At least version 1.0 and 1.3 is available and maybe 1.1@Rage123

What Linux ported games can run with ATi Rage Pro / XL Win9x? I did try out Tux Racer 0.60, 0.61, 0.61a. All versions did not run well on first and 0.60 was most picky about settings. They all started and 0.61 / 0.61a are faster and less buggy versions. Also i needed to change SDL.dll to newer version on 0.61 /0.61a to get it going better and changed 1 or more options.txt settings. I add some fps enabled screenshots with my Celeron MMX / Rage XL AGP Machine.Mostly between 20-30fps in this practice run and resolution 640x480x16 (fog disabled @ options.txt). This game uses OpenGL. Maybe there are better SDL.dll versions, included one was not best for me. More OpenGL 1.1 games here: Re: ATi RagePro OpenGL files
