Hey folks. First post here.

I recently came into possession of an old AcerPower T5572WB. It's a Pentium 233 MMX rig, USB (first P1 machine I've had with USB!) and no AGP. It's got 64mb RAM and runs great. It had NT 4.0 on it, I installed 98 SE (haven't done that in a minute..!) and the rig runs like a dream. It has a Rage II+ onboard. I put a Trident 9880 in it and that worked great but I wanted a bit more grunt so I picked up a Rage 128 Pro 32MB PCI card.

No POST.

I tried all available PCI slots, no POST.

I tried the Rage 128 in another Duron-based rig and it POSTs in that just fine, so the card is okay.

There's nothing in the BIOS regarding PCI. And I can't find any BIOS updates for the rig.

It may be doomed to just live with the 9880 - which isn't bad by any means - but I'd like to get this Rage 128 working. This is a cool little rig (especially with the awesome 70hz monitor I got with it!) and I'd like to make it a nice little retro battlestation.

Any ideas before I move onto finding a different card?

Thanks!

Note down all your CMOS settings then clear it, install card again... sometimes the PnP pci resources get kinda "fragged" and can't sort themselves out.

Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.
