All these games should have ATi RagePro supported by the readme or by the cd cover. View of them already mentioned before (like NFS 3 / 4). Some of the cd side and back covers added here.

Kao the Kangaroo 1 also lists the ATI RAGE PRO card in the readme file. I tested it and the game runs fine with Rage Pro Turbo, but only if you have a relatively fast processor.

Thanks for this late 2000 kids game!

Fur Fighters (2000) - ATi Rage Pro 8MB AGP
https://www.mobygames.com/game/3267/fur-fighters/

ATi Rage Pro 4.11.2560 drivers on CD and ATi Rage Pro 8MB AGP cards work ok.

Requirements

PII 300
32MB Ram
16MB AGP 3D video card
Direct X compatible sound card
LAN or Internet connection for Fluffmatch play

...obviously it'll run better on bigger machines...a PIII would help, more RAM and bigger graphics cards, all help 😀

5. Even though the game says a 16MB AGP card is required we have found some lower spec cards do work, The Matrox G200 and ATi Rage pro cards (8MB AGP) seem to run the game OK. As these are below the required minimum spec, no support will be offered on these cards.

Daytona USA Deluxe (1997)

From D3D Patch (ddx_faq.txt) :

There is a minor driver issue with the ATI Rage Pro AGP, but the
game will run with a minor graphic glitch. An updated video
driver may fix this problem.

From SEGA website some other 1997 games where also tested with ATI 3D Rage Pro AGP 2X and D3D patches?
https://web.archive.org/web/19980201234406/ht … rt/patches.html

Chipsets Currently Supported Include:
3dfx Voodoo, 3D Labs Permedia 2, nVidia Riva 128, ATI 3D Rage Pro AGP 2X, Real 3D, Rendition Verite or chipsets with similar or better performance.

Worldwide Soccer (1997) and Virtual Figther 2 (1997) has also D3D patches + Sega Rally Championship has unofficial D3D patch, what about other?

Added also WWS / VF2 D3D patches to the attachments, they have no readme.

Unofficial Sega Rally Championship D3D patch :
Sega Rally Championship Unofficial Direct3D patch & mod

Before DirectDraw and DirectX, there was Microsoft WinG 1.0, it was for Win 3.1x and also for Win9x.
ATi RagePro&RageXL supports both of the Windows OS,but Windows9x has more wider API support.

Not directly ATi Rage Pro feature, but if you add WinG32.dll and WinG.dll to the C:\Windows\System\,
then WinG API games should start to work. Best to use 256 colors at desktop, games form 1994-1998

Win9x
WinG32.dll = 32bit wing api windows games
WinG.dll = 16bit wing api windows games

List of supported games (53 games) : https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/List_of_WinG_games

Some good WinG links:
https://grokipedia.com/page/WinG
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WinG

WinG10.zip / WinG10.exe file has also some WinG API demos and readme files + more, its WinG SDK.
Cube demo works better with 256 colors and Palette demo as well, probably wise to use @256 colors

WinG demos visible here (WinG10.zip or WinG10.exe) : https://betawiki.net/wiki/WinG
Probably this is the original WinG10.exe : https://archive.org/details/WING10

Other supported software:
RenderWare modeller 1.0 from 1999 uses also WinG API : https://archive.org/details/modeler-1.0b
From other applications also Photoshop 3.0 (1994) and Photoshop 4.0 (1997) used Microsoft WinG.

Windows 3.1x need Microsoft Win32s for some 32 stuff : https://archive.org/details/PW1118
http://stephan.win31.de/w32slist.htm

Added WinG10.7Z (Win9x WinG gaming probably only WinG32.dll and WinG.dll files needed)
So far i have used only some WinG API games in Win9x, correct me if i am wrong, Thank you!

I played the game on an ATI Rage Pro for my first playthrough back in the fall of 1999. It was a choppy experience in 640x480, although I probably should have cut the detail level down to Medium or Low to try and eke out a bit more performance. The poor little chip just doesn't have the grunt needed to play this game smoothly, especially in the nebula!

Thanks for the inf even it was not good experience.

Was it 4MB or 8MB and AGP ATi Rage Pro card? ATi Rage is there and also Rage 128 is there, older Rage cards even more lower. 😀
I have not played it, but Rage Pro likes bit faster CPU to help it out and Rage XL can be tiny faster. So not ideal game for Rage Pro.

Soon i am probably out of games that have Rage Pro recommended by the games txt or pdf readme or i just cant find any more.
Sure there are lots of older titles from 1996-1998 or newer that have acceptable performance and not mentioning any ati rage.

I played it on an 8 MB Rage Pro Turbo, using the absolute latest drivers at the time, with a PII-300. I am sure I could see a bit better performance with the PIII-550 I have in that same 440BX rig now, but I also have much faster graphics cards to play the game on now. The poor Rage Pro was already pretty far past its lifespan in late 1999, and FS2's nebula missions made it painfully obvious to me that the next upgrade I needed to improve my gaming was a graphics upgrade. I ended up with a Savage4 next due to my miniscule budget, which was a massive leap forward in speed in every game.
