Maaa...YT even doesn't work good with latest New Moon 28 on WinXP, it is lame like hundred ducks and will fill up RAM like nothing. So don't care about YT!

That's the User agent I use to have a normal Google search with New Moon 28

On more powerful configurations, running Windows 98, based on Pentium IV, Core2 or comparable later processors, this issue can be quite successfully closed, through virtualization. For the current version of VOGONS, it is not necessary to have a very modern bulky browser, it is quite enough to have some light browser, based on Chromium 57, for example, or not much higher, which, at least, does not put too much load on the processor and requires a very insignificant amount of RAM. As for Pentium III and earlier processors, in addition to what has already been suggested by other participants, there is not much to add. The new version of the site is good in every way (and it is not demanding). The previous version of the site also seemed to be quite good, but it opened and functioned relatively correctly in almost any browser (even in Internet Explorer 4.0):

I tried browsing website internet last year on 98se ended up just using IRC so there’s still one reason to use a retro on the internet I guess.
There are places on IRC people can hang out download images, mp3's etc and there is bridge extension to bridge IRC channels to discord channels.
Telnet still works too and BBS.
I think the computer must at least have a pentium 4 or CPU extension equivalent running windows XP with modifications to get any chance of a poor modern web experience if say a pentium 3 is tasked for modern encrypted webpage internet it is impossible regardless of browser or OS even Linux won't do it.
Modern website security and encryption protocols are based on modern CPU extensions because that’s when modern website protocols was standardised as the "norm"
to use modern website protocols on older more retro CPU's would require dev tools and web browser software designed.
I don't recommend the kernel extension on anything older than windows XP its just too damn unstable.
