For me the mixer initialization works from autoexec.bat without running other 'DSP initialization' or SBEINIT.COM after a cold boot.

I'm jealous!! To confirm: if you run ek1m.exe -c after your autoexec, with no other commands, does it really show the configuration? Mine doesn't 🙁

Yep, it shows the actual config (actually a whole page of settings).

I cannot confirm such general problem.

I think all the people that reported this problem are using 4 channel live cards, potentially they are all a value variant as well

My model is CT4760 (https://www.dosdays.co.uk/topics/images/sblive_ct4760.jpg). I don’t think it’s a “Value” card but I guess it is 4 channel.

Hi,
With the help of ChatGPT 5.6 a more simple version has been created for Audigy 2/ Audigy 2 ZS cards.
It cannot do such fancy routing as ekm but it can enable the Line-In source and redirect it to front/rear speakers under plain DOS.
Usage:
A2LINE <input-level-in-percent> <output-level-in-percent>
Try it first like this:
A2LINE 50 50

Source file and binary included:

The attachment A2LINE.zip is no longer available

It was only tested on an Audigy 2 ZS but there is no reason why it should not work with a non-ZS Audigy 2.
BTW, I'm not an Audigy hardware expert like the creator of ekm so if it does not work for you then you have to find the solution yourself. The source is included.

For anyone wanting a DOS Mixer for the Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS (Line In, CD Audio (Analog & Digital), general volume) here it is :

SBEZS V1.0a - DOS Mixer for Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS

It's a different project than A2LINE who does only Line In.
Mine does CD Audio and general volume too.

I've also made a .SF2 to .ECW SoundFont convertor, now you can use better SoundFont under DOS with Creative PCI Cards !

SF2ECW V1.0a - Convert any SF2 Soundfont to ECW - (Creative Ensoniq Sound Blaster Soundfonts)
