Now next step I think is to clean machine and open disk drive. What would be the best disk drive replacement option?
I couldn't get model 30 disk drive working, but on that model it was easy to replace with gotek.

Not sure this belongs here but I did something I never thought I would ...bought myself a kitted out Playstation2 with a bunch of nice games.

Might seem odd but I never had a PS2 back in the day and with the shift to digital only games I thought it was time to pick up an older retro console and grab some physical games for it. (PS2 has a huge library of games I have never seen let alone played before, its quite daunting really picking where to start 😁) Been thinking of grabbing a modded Xbox too since I want to have alternatives to just PC hardware, don't get me wrong I love retro PC stuff but one cannot deny they beauty and simplicity of a retro console for pure gaming.

Anyway that's enough about retro consoles .. back to PC stuff I guess.

Yes it is very ibm.
There is project in pcbway... but it doesn't mention model 50, knowing ibm that's problem.

Yes it is very ibm.
There is project in pcbway... but it doesn't mention model 50, knowing ibm that's problem.

Ahhh yes, their all in one power and data delivery solution.

I vaguely remember someone talking about an adapter for that, might be worth digging around the internet to see if anything came of it.

Its a good start for if the drive doesn't come back, you have another option to get her working again.
