This mb is goregous. Couple of years ago I was close to taking a plunge on a fleabay for one sample. It came with golden/brass sort of color orb style cooler and memory sticks with golden heatspreaders. It was stunning.
You can make one nice looking build out of these.
Just got this SB 2.0 CT1350b. Incidentally I think this is my first Creative card with 8-bit ISA connector. I have few others though.
A few cards came in last few days... First, the Trident. It was definitely a weak point in my collection, as I only had one card from them , a Trident Blade, and since Blade XP is unobtanium atm, I decided to get theirs early 3D cards (yes the horror ones).
This 9850 came first... I'd say I got a pretty decent version of it.
The second card that came, was an early ATI card.
Since the focus of my collection is ATI, I felt it's about time I cover this Mach era. Here, is an Mach64, I suppose it's not the top model, but still better than most cheap ones I guess... and it's actually brand new or maybe slightly used... as it came sealed. (images are from e-bay since I didn't have time to snap it when it arrived)
And the last order was a 3dfx addon to the collection...
Now I know Banshee ain't the most popular 3dfx card... but this one was in great condition, and I didn't have one in my collection. So... pretty happy with this haul... I also have Trident 9750 and Mach32 on the way... but they will take some time.
Finally got my hands on a Asrock 775i65G Rev 3 board !
Already got a CedarMill 661 P4 3.6Ghz CPU for it or a QX6800 I can drop in there too if I want more grunt. Not sure if Ill throw a 6800 Ultra in it or the 7900GS, I guess it depends on how the P4 does with each one, I suspect itll handle the 6800 Ultra better.
I do have a Ti4600 and a FX5700 Ultra I could drop back to for better compatibility but I doubt Ill need it, not going to be playing older titles on it !

Bought a nice BX board as my ABIT BE6-II has unfortunately kicked the bucket. (turns on for 5 seconds and shuts down. Frontpanel unresponsive)
New board is an ASUS CUBX-E, the variant w/ Promise controller. Bundled are the manual, driver disc, as well as a 750MHz P3 and a stick of RAM I've yet to ID as what capacity it is (although I assume it's either 128 or 256MB).

Congrats! That's a very nice laptop, 486 100mhz + large 640x480 tft display. Condition is great too.
The only downside is the crappy built-in sound card. You may want to try this driver that supports this exact sound card to get better compatibility in games, including protected mode games https://github.com/zikolas/vsbpcmcia
40/400... You never find a desktop with those memory/disk specs. That is so IBM.

I agree! The original box design for the Creative 3D Blaster Annihilator Pro (before they added Geforce 256 to the name) was one of the most impressive, yet subtle, boxes I'd ever seen. I remember seeing it on the video card shelf at Electronics Boutique back when "Geforce" didn't really mean anything to most enthusiasts yet, so they didn't even put it in big print on the front of the box.
It was SO EXPENSIVE. The most expensive card they had... but just look at that box. Seeing that imposing black obelisk sitting next to a colorful Voodoo3 or TNT2 box for 1/2 or 1/3 the price. Pshh... no way. THIS was the card to have. I mean, it was the ANNIHILATOR for goodness sake! Who but the ANNIHILATOR would dare to have such a plain box with such a high price tag on it?
