I noticed that for some reason there are a ton of these socket 478 boards on eBay, and prices have gone down quite a bit. They seem to be very useful for a retro build, as in addition to what should be fully functional ISA slots, they have SATA ports, dual channel DDR memory and can fit relatively powerful processors. So I ended up splurging a bit as I got one for $105 including shipping (plus, unfortunately, VAT 🙁 )
Most of the VRM caps seem to be polymers, possibly Chemi-Con PS series, so I suppose they should be fine? However, there are also a few Chemi-con KZG series 6.3V 1200µF caps, should they be replaced? I have heard that they were a problematic series. Based on quick testing with Prime95, the board seems to be fine.
There's also a ton of 100µF 16V general purpose caps, but they are probably fine and at least they shouldn't break anything even if they go bad.
