New builds up. Game is very close to done now (in my opinion). Claude has only identified a handful of minor issues left. Anything else will require people to play it and report any bugs/inconsistencies with the original.
Supports widescreen resolutions and ultra-wide, but the hud elements stay at a 4:3 aspect.. going to see how hard it would be to move those now that we have all this extra screen space. Uses OpenGL for now, will look into how hard to port it over to Vulkan/Metal (don't need it for performance reasons, more so we have a "modern" renderer). I also don't like the text used when navigating the menus before missions, I'm hoping that can be cleaned up too.
For any bugs you come across, file them on Github so we don't clog this post up and I'll do what I can to fix. I'll start on Ghost Bear's Legacy in a couple of weeks - I expect that to be a MUCH faster process since a lot of the work done so far should come right over.
To read the music from the local disc, open dxwnd.ini and change the value:
1flagt0=262148
to
1flagt0=262144
This allows the reading of custom music tracks, and also the actual CD tracks with lesser latency. You can also use this option to use the complete tracks of MechWarrior 2 Pentium Processor Edition in Titanium Edition
Officially, DxWnd supports playback of .ogg, .wav, .mp3 or .flac format files. Music tracks need to be installed in a folder named "Music" in the same level as the game executable. The music tracks should be named "track02.fmt", "track03.fmt", ..., "trackmn.fmt", where ".fmt" is the file extension and "mn" is the track number. The track should start with "track02.fmt" always, since the first track is the data track.
I'm hoping someone can help me with this. I have installed the Titanium version of MW2 31CC using Myne's mw2Installer06052025.zip and everything works great so far. The above quote mentions using the Pentium version of the CD for music but I have a couple of questions.
1) My dxwnd.ini doesn't have "flagt0=262148" but "flagt0=262420" instead. Do I just change it to "flagt0=262144" as mentioned in the quote above? I did try this but I get asked for the Titanium versions CD when having the Pentium version CD mounted for the music.
2) If I decide to go the FLAC/MP3 route, do I just rename the FLAC/MP3 files to that mentioned above "track02/fmt" etc?
Really hoping someone can help me with this. Many thanks in advance.
I've never used dxwnd before so this is new to me. How do I see what settings you have in the GUI? I'm assuming the settings I have are the ones set by the installer has I've not changed anything. Apologies for the noob questions.
Look at the dxwnd gui
Click through each tab and look for what's different between yours and mine.
The flags are set there.
I ripped the music from the pentium edition, renamed the files and dropped them into the music folder in the game root directory. I changed dxwnd to use custom music but I am not getting any music when playing missions. Is there another setting I need to change to get the Pentium edition music working?

I plan to also take all the decomp work and try to port over Heavy Gear 1 and Interstate 76 at some point too since they use the same engine.
Cheers everyone.
If i was you, i would add the entire command list, so it is easy to remap the entire control scheme, since W is still image enhancement and A is autopilot.
Also i would check the powervr release so there is a parameter to port said engine level fixes to it since the powerVR release was considered the best of the 3d accelerated bunch
