Hi all,

so I used the excellent Vogons (Dominus) guide to install Win 3.1 under Dosbox 0.74 and successfully intalled and played games with it (game-cd as image files moutned with IMGMOUNT etc). But I simply cannot make the game Gord@k to work. The game starts fine and the intro works. But as soon as the actual game begins and where for the first time the actual 1st-person-enviroment should be displayed
to walk around in, a windows window pops up:

Directoy Player 4.0
Script Error: Handler not defined

#gPanoMovieObj

I tried either using the quicktime version on the image and also the one linked on the Vogons Guide (2.1.2.59 I think).

Anybody any idea what goes wrong and how to fix it? Maybe someone had a similar problem with a different game
It is also a fresh windows 3.1 install (under Dosbox), so its not like that the windows 3.1 version is totally broken by many installs etc.

Help would be really appreciated,
Mike

PS: What also drives me crazy is that I am 95% sure I did the same thing a year ago (same setup of win 3.1 under dosbox + gordak install) and it worked without problems...

In case anyone is interested, after many wasted hours, I found the reason: Dosbox 0.74 cannot correctly mount the game iso-image with IMGMOUNT xxxx -t cdrom command. It looks fine at first in windows 3.1 file explorer everything is visible and some of the content works (game could be installed with this 'cd' and I could watch the game intro), but some files are corrupted. If I use the same windows 3.1 installation and the same imgmount command under dosbox-staging, the game works 100%.

The issue is most likely Macintosh resource fork data in associated files on a PC/Mac hybrid CD-ROM disc, which is fixed in DOSBox SVN but not in 0.74(-3).
