Hi, problem, can't get dosbox working fullscreen in linux. I have edited the dosboxrc file and this doesn't have any effect. Can someone give or point me in the direction of instructions on how to do this.

Well, see, it IS running in fullscreen its just that it doesn't fill the whole screen. Instead there is a black board about 4 inches long around the whole program. Could someone give me somewhat detailed directions on how to fix this?

Switch output=surface to output=opengl, switch aspect=false to aspect=true, and switch fullresolution=original to fullresolution=1024x768 for example.
