hello all!

ich just have installed DOS-BOX 0.73 to use old dos-software.

this software has a main folder with the program data c:\FDC_STB\
further there is a folder c:\FDC_ORD\ in which i put external data (nc-files).

now the software starts normally and should read the external data out of the folder c:\FDC_STB but this does not work.

i´ve made a directory c:\dosbox\ and put this two folders (FDC_STB and FDC_ORD) in it.
then i mounted c c:\dosbox\

can anybody help me?

when i use the "normal" dos-box from WIN-XP it works... but not with DOS-BOX 0.73 ...

there are no install-disks necessary.
the program works (also in Win95 or MS-DOS) just by copying the folders.

i wonder, because it works without any problems when i open the program with the normal DOS-Box of WinXP.

but i need to use DOSBOX because the program sends out some data over the serial port.

maybe you have another idea?

it is hard to guess what is wrong..
Maybe try the debugger build of dosbox (see dev forum). To get a bigger logfile

dir /o:n
we don't support the /o switch. so that file contain an errormessage stating we don't support /o:n instead of the stuff it wants.
We might be able to support that though.
