can't install VDMSound 2.0.4

During installation, it fails after asking the path and before actually creating it.
It shows a window with such a message:
Internal Error 2203. C:\WINNT\installer\3a400ef8.ipi, -2147287035

then it shows "Installation Incomplete" window and that's all.

MSI version 2.00.2600.2
Windows 2000 SP3

Any suggestions, please

Appears like you have a "permissions" problem:

or that the MSI file was read-only:

I just found the solution.
In my system I always set TMP and TEMP environment variables to C:\TMP
Under W2K must be directly assigned FULL ACCESS for SYSTEM for the catalog
