I found a seller with what he says is a Baby AT style 486 motherboard with 7 16-bit ISA, 1 8-bit ISA and 3 PCI slots on it. How the hell do you fit 11 slots on a Baby AT motherboard? There's no photo, though, because it's one of those business websites where they sell vintage parts not ebay. Wouldn't a Baby AT be a little small for so many slots?

Maybe PCI and ISA share slots

I was just thinking about my Dell GX1's and got the thought that maybe there is a riser card involved? It's not an OEM motherboard, though, so that would make it unusual. I don't know of any motherboards sold directly to consumers that used a riser.

I wonder if he's mistaking the VLB connectors for PCI...

That would make a lot more sense. 1 8-bit and 7 16-bit, 3 of which have the VL bus extensions. I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out how to put 11 slots on a Baby AT board. The real estate just isn't there.

why not ask for a picture? if it's a business that sells vintage and don't know the difference maybe he/she should find another job or sell stuff they know about and understand. if it does have 11 slots it would be a custom or rare extended AT or something along those lines.
