Well, I guess I have this also, 🤣!
Trying to build an untimate socket 7 even though I know slot 1 is easier, more reliable and maybe even a bit cheaper!
I just think a socket 7 (a.k.a. -the- socket for the Pentium ONE) at 600Mhz has a nice ring to it.
Same thing with the high end 486's. When I mention the 486 nowdays most people don't even know what a 486 is!!! Really, stunning how quickly the 486 has faded from memory in society!
Most people only remember the P4 and somehow also the P3 but P2? That just has to be old! P1? Oh, you must mean a P4, right?
Also Athlon XP is still in memory of the general public. Same with the Duron, kinda. But mention a K6? A Winchip? Cyrix M2? Rise??
Retro computing is history in the making!!!
