Well you can't tell it from the sample in the video.
That video is of the OPL3 versus CT1747, not OPL3 versus CQM. It sounds like CQM has issues but everything else (OPL3 and CT1747) is fine.
Do the CQM chips have an OPL logo on them?

I was referring to CT1747. I don't know why leilei thought I was referring to CQM when that isn't even being demoed in the video.

Probably your "Creatives version" wording, which generally implies CQM.
OPL3 vs CT1747 comparisons are a bit pointless, in any event, since the latter chips contain actual OPL3 cores. Not to mention the fact that every single one of those CT1747 chips was manufactured by... Yamaha.
