This topic is about wfb format soundfonts for old Turtle Beach cards (Maui, Tropez) but it must start with Gravis Ultrasound
Recently i found a nice site with some nice soundfonts :
OLD SOUNDCARDS EMULATION
http://www3.telus.net/anapan8/oldscardemu.htm
The most interesting thing there is that there are 2 soundfonts which are converted from gravis ultrasound pat files to sf2 format
One of them is soundfont i already found some time ago :
GUS Classic Patch Set v1.6b converted by ArekR - www.rarek.ceron.pl
author site
http://www.rarek.ceron.pl/
but the second one Gravis Ultrasound.sf2 - Generated by PAT2DLS using Gravis Ultrasound patches (author unknown)
was a nice surprise
I got some Turtle Beach cards especially Turtle Beach Maui and Tropez which use soundfonts in their special TB format .wfb.
I was trying to find more Turtle Beach soundfonts but with no special luck . Using the internet wayback machine i found some old sites which has some patches for Maui or Tropez card but all these almost all links are dead

i only found some patches for Wave Patch program but no complete banks
I also found program WEMP Wavefront Extended Media Player which allows Maui (maybe Tropez and Pinnacle too ??? )play .mods and xm files in dos - and it works !!!
but i was only able to find this program in older version and there was some information there about some newer version - anyone got it maybe ???
0.96 version here

Going back to soundfonts i found information about some bigger soundfont for Maui which was made and sold by Turtle Beach about 4MB - but was unable to find it - maybe anyone from Vogons got it in his collection???
Using the Wave Patch program for maui was trying to make some new soundfont for this card using instruments extracted from some other more advanced soundbanks but for now my knowledge about the midi standard and the wfb bank standards seems to be to small to make it rigth but i will keep on trying
What i manage to do is a conversion (dont ask me how ) one of the Ultrasond banks to wfb format
I uploaded this file here:
Generated by PAT2DLS using Gravis Ultrasound patches_converted_to.wfb
http://www.mediafire.com/?x6fxd78hc4s8dqc
it has obout 6,5 MB and it sound great on many of my arcade classic midi files not so well on modern midi files
My main question is does anyone from this site has any Turtle Beach sound banks especially this 4mb bank from turtle beach !!!! and can upload it on some download server
