Ok first off, I'm an idiot. So feel free to make fun of me.

I recently learned of DOSbox and am giving it a try. Mainly for one game Privateer. I install privateer and try to play it but always get this error
No Privateer CD Found

Jemm unloaded

and thats it. I'm currently running under Windows XP
any help?

Which command did you use to mount the CD with (in DOSBox)?

mount d e:\ -t cdrom
MOUNT C C:\

Those were the only two mounts.
If you actually have privateer working it be better just to tell me how to do it, like step by step.
I installed Privateer by using the run command install
Then use DOSbox c:
cd\priv
priv
then get the Privateer CD not Found

Sorry, I do not have Privateer.

Try adding '-ioctl' to the mount command (it enables some low-level emulation). If that does not work, try adding '-label XXXXX', where XXXXX is the actual CD-ROM label.

Btw. this is in the FAQ section of the ReadMe:

Q: The game/application can't find its CD-ROM.
A: Be sure to mount the CD-ROM with -t cdrom switch. Also try adding the cor-
rect label (-label LABEL). To enable more low-level cdrom support add
the following switch to mount: -usecd #, where # is the number of your
CD-ROM drive reported by mount -cd. If you run Win32 you can specify -ioctl
or -aspi. Look at the description elsewhere in this document for their
meaning.
