Here's an oddity Google turned up...
Some web developer decided to show off his 1997 web development work.

Nice, made me look into AT3D datasheet again, and this surprised me:
Proprietary techniques permit Z-buffering in as little as 8KB off screen memory, leaving more
memory for richer textures.

Tiling in local memory?
