Well... I have this http://ohwc.narod.ru/video/3dfx/v2_pc100_f.jpg in my machine, running with a Matrox G400 and a 30 centimeter aftermarket female/male vga extension cable. Using the cable as an loopback cable. It has no Ferrite core's, yet the cable it self, is aprox 8mm thick.
Now...
The Voodoo2 runs fine and dandy. Nothing there.
When I try to run 3D mode on the Matrox, the image will be distorted. It is some kind of thousands or hundreds of small vertical scanlines/interferance kind if things. That makes the picture not really pleasent to look at. If I run the Matrox without the Voodoo, there are no interferance at all, and when I run the Matrox in 2D (desktop/word/anything 2D related) there are absolutely no issues at all. The image is crisp, clear and sharp as it should be.
The issues I have, could it be the Voodoo2 card, or could it be that I should look for two clip-on ferrite cores for the improvised loopback cable?
Or could it be anything else, that makes this issue?
Another thing...
The V2-Card is a 110mhz version, and it is currently running on a Gigabyte GA-5AX with a K6-3-400 everything stock. No overclocking here.
What other brand of Voodoo2 card could I use for some SLI setup? As I have read here on Vogons and other places, that 3DfX's last drivers for V2 or later produced V2-Cards. Allows for different brands of card's, when running SLI. (could be a myth though)
Don't eat stuff off a 15 year old never cleaned cpu cooler.
Those cakes make you sick....
