Hello. I am having issues trying to run this game correctly. I have installed the game to Dosbox 0.74 from the original cd-rom. I can run the game fine at first, but when I try to run the game again using the same teams and same stadium, I get this message: Program Error: Error in view-Out Of Memory loading Image Data(xms mem 9891840) The xms and ems values are set at true, and I have also tried adding and lowering the memory values. Every time I still get the same message though. Any ideas on how to correct this? I also was fortunate enough to find another copy on ebay, but I have had the same results.

The game is for windows 95, but actually is a dos based game. I have windows xp, and have also installed it there too using windows 95 compatibility. When I try to play a game from here I get a Message box that says: Cant open resource\imf.dat :r+t :100'. Someone please help, I am going nuts!!! Thanks in advance.

To clarify, are you saying you can only run the game one time after installation before the error appears, or do you mean the error occurs if you rerun the game in the same session of DOSBox? For the latter you can just restart DOSBox.

You didn't specify exactly how you changed the "memory values". For a 1997 DOS game, you might need to change memsize= in the DOSBox settings to 24, 32, 48, or 63 -- try them in that order.

Thank you so much for the reply. I get the same message every time in the same session, and also if I restart DOSBox. For instance, if I use the 75 Cincinnati vs. 75 Boston at Riverfront stadium, it will work the first time. When I try to use the same teams and stadium the second time in same session, I get the: Program Error Error in view-Out of Memory loading Image Data(xmsmem=9891840). The xmsmem= value sometimes changes though if I try running it again a third time etc. I also get the same message if I restart DOSBox. I hope this makes sense in what I am trying to say. It seems it is having a hard time loading the same image data. Now if I use two different teams and a different stadium, it will work again until I try to use those teams and stadium again. Then it goes back to the Program error again. Its like I can use the teams and stadiums once, but then I cant use them again. That is when the Program errors begin. I will try to change the memory sizes to 24,32,and 63 like you have suggested. Hope that works! Thank you again.

I tried changing memory size to 24,32,48, and 63. Each time the game worked the second time, but now the players are all invisible. So I exited out of the game and tried a third time, and then the players were all back, but this time they were all umpires instead of the players. Really weird. This is what happened each time I changed the memory sizes. This is also during the same session, and when I restarted DOSBox. Does anyone have anymore suggestions? Please help. Thanks again.

O.k., now I have tried to run the game on Windows 95 Virtual machine using Microsoft Virtual PC 2007. All the issues I had before are now corrected! The only problem I have now, is the game runs too slowly. I have searched the web to no avail trying to correct this issue. Now the question is, does anyone know how to speed up games on Virtual machines? If I can correct this issue, all my problems will be solved then finally after over a year trying to get this game to run. Any help would be greatly apprieciated. Thanks .

While being installed within DOSBox, it may have been remembered the Memsize value and get confused when changed.

Try to re-install it within DOSBox after changing the Memsize value.

I tried running the game on an old windows ME machine, still have the same issues. Does anybody else have any suggestions on why I would still get the Program Error message?
