I happened upon this chip in particular the other day as well. It has a fan on top but I think it's aftermarket, and I know from the pins it's a PGA168 chip. There is no maker's name printed on the heatsink and I can't pry the heatsink off the chip without damaging one, the other, or both. As you can see from the picture I have some pins left to straighten, but once they're done I have no reason to believe this won't work.
