For a bit of fun after the Haye and Bellew fight last night, and since I’m collecting data anyway! I thought it would be pretty neat to merge some results and make some more, from two separate projects into one bigger bust-up!
Essentially it’s just a comparison of how both bench against each other, as single and dual CPU systems (when possible). I will be looking to standardize each spec for consistency such as comparing each with the same DRAM, CPU(s), FSB, Cache, and VGA.
The Contenders
In the right corner… the well known local from Leeds, coming in at 29 lbs… Compaq’s Systempro!
… and in the left corner, coming in the heavier at 31 lbs, the challenger hailing from Chalgrove, Oxfordshire… ALR’s Powerpro!
By touting this match-up so early on… I’ll look to put early input from Vogons members into building a better set of results. I know everyone is era-specific when it comes to hardware, so the aim will be to collect data ranging from as high as 586’s running at 133MHz, eventually working the way down to the lower end; 386’s.
