In my opinion, the better solution for a CRT TV is using Arcade VGA.
There are several versions. I have an old AGP version in a dedicated PC for emulators.

The motherboard, which has ATX dimensions, doesn't just fit in a regular ATX case. In the original XW6200 case a couple bolts go through the CPU coolers and motherboard into the chassis. For this project I had to buy M3.5 nuts so I could fix the coolers on the motherboard and I had to fasten some tie wraps around the CPU coolers and the new chassis to make sure one corner of the motherboard would not bend due to the gravity on it. Luckily I could fasten the rest of the board with screws in their regular ATX holes. But that's not all. I also had to reuse the original case fans, which are now located at the bottom, because the CPU's don't run on full speed without them, to prevent them from overheating. Furthermore the power button, front USB and audio connections also had to be researched, but the original cable of the old case led me to the right pins 😀

This is now the pc I plan to use for XP games that don't run on Win2K (I don't want to use XP).

Not really a retro rig though. Not saying it's bad (I like it!) just I don't think it fits the retro category.

The Dell Dimension XPS M200s just had it's annual dust-out. Although, there was very little to be done as you can see (photos before work began). A 10-minute clean of the fans sufficed.

Christmas is definitely that time of year when I get my chance to really play some games. It's been a re-visit of games from 1997 so a lot of Rendition, PowerVR and 3Dfx based games. That's why the Creative 3D Blaster PCI, Matrox m3D, Orchid Righteous 3D and Creative Sound Blaster AWE64 are all in the case together, and have been getting a good run.

Nothing special... brushes, maybe isopropyl.
