Thought this was about how to store your old computers.... 🤣

I had that same feeling when I first found this thread (if that was the case, maybe someone would've suggested storing your old computers at a storage container in space).

There's also a Compast Flash successor, called CFast. It's based on SATA, but might be backwardscompatible to IDE/ATA similar to SATA HDDs.

IDE/ATA is quite simple to implement. All we really need for DOS is WD1003 or ATA0 register set comaptibility, anyway.
These things could be implemented with the help of microcontrollers or FPGAs, for example. Don't worry.

Quite more complex things had been build already.
I'm just thinking of old mainframes that got their huge tape storage system emulated on an old WinXP laptop. 😉
