Here's my problem:

I have an LCD monitor first off.

When I run DOSbox, and I try to go into fullscreen(alt+enter), my screen goes into stripes of red, green, blue, and white; then the screen changes and I see a grey screen; then the screen changes again and goes go a blank white screen.
The 3 screens then loop over and over.
When I press ALT+ENTER again, it goes back to a normal window.
I should also note that I can hear the sounds of a game(if I start one).
Everything works perfect until I want to change the window into fullscreen.

I am pretty sure that it is something to do with my monitor, but I am unsure.

Any help with this issue is very much apprieciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hmm. Weird symptoms there, but a lot of people do experience problems with Dosbox and LCD monitors.
The usual advice for fullscreen problems is to try different output modes, and/or changing the fullscreen resolution to something specific, in dosbox.conf.
Example, change it to output=ddraw, or fullresolution=800x600.
To edit dosbox.conf, just open it up in the text editor of your choice, eg. notepad.

😀
Thanks so much!

I did what you said (change it to 800X600) and it worked perfectly!
😀
Thanks for the help.

With my LCD I usually set dosbox to '640x480' and then use 'normal2x' scaler to avoid the smoothing effect.

I like the smoothing effect. I think I left the res settings close to the 0.65 defaults and use the smoothing effect of my 1920x1200 monitor as a free scaler effect.
