I have a Sound Blaster Vibra CT2800 installed in my 386 machine. I have a typical gameport to midi cable <<Image attached>> plugged into the DB15 port that is hooked up to my Roland MT-32. This seems to work fine for sending MIDI signals to my MT-32. But, I don't seem to have joystick functionality from this cable adapter. Is there a setting I have to set on the sound card to get both MIDI and joystick functionality to work at the same time through the gameport? Or would it be possible that I just have a faulty cable/adapter?

Thanks in advance.

Check this out. Your cable looks the same and may not be wired to support both.

Thanks for pointing me there. Yes, I think you're right. Guess I should track down a different cable.
