Is that the same adapter that JanBeta recently showed off? I think I had a similar thing from a Vogons user. It was a header for the Pi to convert RGB data. However It was SMD stuff and I ripped a pad due to not being very experienced at the time and never repaired it. Will have to check out your video!

Exactly the same as Jan Beta tested. I got mine for a month or so ago. Waiting for the V2 that should arrive on monday.

Brand New Amiga 500 Demo on Floppy Disk in 2021?

The demoscene has been part of Amiga (and PC) culture for at least 30 years. Of course there are still great demos and intros released for all kinds of platforms. I love when the Amiga OCS machines (A500, A1000, A2000) get some kind of love, but getting a brand new demo ONLY on floppy disk, and not for download, is something special. Let's Code MS DOS 0x1C: The Dweezil Fractal Zoomer

Back in 1993 two Finnish demoscene coders by the names of Dweezil and Tsunami came up (probably independently?) with a graphical effect that became known as the infinite fractal zoomer. Sometims it’s also called the Dweezil zoomer. The Linux xscreensaver knows it by the name of Kumppa. It is a clever and simple algorithm which allows even pretty slow machines to do an impressive infinite rotating zoom. Today I will talk you through the algorithm and we will do the actual implementation in Turbo C, using VGA 320x200 and 256 colors.

I made a video for the first time. It was a trial to see if I had fun and I did have a little bit of fun making it. I also tested out my capture card and enjoyed capturing video from Windows and DOS.

About a year ago I acquired a very cheap Atari 2600 Jr. It had only RF output, so I can’t use it on my CM8833-II monitor. A composite mod was required. I decided this time around to get the deluxe mod from The Future Was 8bit and see if it’s worth the extra expense. For extra points, after opening up the Atari, I noticed I have one of the more rare variants without the big metal RF modulator box, but instead have a bunch of discrete components on the board. So where to get the instructions? Luckily archive.org never forgets!

A little less than a week ago I did a video on my experience with how DOS viruses behave when running on a PC-98, a Japanese series of computers that run MS-DOS like IBM PCs but the software is mostly different. I also have another PC-98 related video planned in the future similar to this that I won't spoil.

strange for views to drop, it's like an algorithm culls views that aren't really considered views ( ! ), i do wonder how youtube counts views - for instance if it runs 1 second is it a view? Not something i know much about

They periodically weed out spam accounts, so I guess they remove views from such accounts from the stats too. I got an email notification about a response to a video I recently posted. In the email, the message looked suspiciously like spam. And when I went to the video and checked the comments, it was already removed.
