Made a video (yet again) to demonstrate the internal RGBtoHDMI adaptor that I have in my Amiga500-Desktop.
You can also find a few other videoes about it. Sorry for the lack of content on the channel, and really sorry about my shitty and crappy spoken English.

My channel is this one here

Is that the same adapter that JanBeta recently showed off? I think I had a similar thing from a Vogons user. It was a header for the Pi to convert RGB data. However It was SMD stuff and I ripped a pad due to not being very experienced at the time and never repaired it. Will have to check out your video!

Exactly the same as Jan Beta tested. I got mine for a month or so ago. Waiting for the V2 that should arrive on monday.

Don't eat stuff off a 15 year old never cleaned cpu cooler.

Hi ,
I just uploaded my first youtube video, is about a ISA Expansion adapter for the Amstrad PPC512 PPC640 range.
I have included schematic and gerbers if anyone wants to make their own.

Let's Code MS DOS 0x1A: I Am Not An Atomic Playboy! (The Rotozoomer)

Back in 1993 the Future Crew published „Second Reality“ on the PC. This was a mega-demo of epic proportions. It showcases many new and some old effects with a brilliant soundtrack. One of the effects that was very well done and that stuck in my mind was the „rotozoomer“. A tiling image being rotated and scaled in a very fluent animation. As a kid I wondered how it’s done. Later I learned the maths behind this and today we want to explore this simple yet brilliant effect. In this part we will deal with the basics and implement a floating point version. However the original code used fixed point integer arithmetics, which we will visit in a second video…

Let's Code MS DOS 0x1B: Fixed Point Arithmetics Rotozoomer

In the last episode we learned how to code the rotozoom effect using floating point arithmetics. This however is pretty slow on ancient DOS machines, like 486 and even worse on slower machines. So in this episode we will rewrite the program to use integer based fixed point arithmetics.

Brand New Amiga 500 Demo on Floppy Disk in 2021?

The demoscene has been part of Amiga (and PC) culture for at least 30 years. Of course there are still great demos and intros released for all kinds of platforms. I love when the Amiga OCS machines (A500, A1000, A2000) get some kind of love, but getting a brand new demo ONLY on floppy disk, and not for download, is something special. This is Hologon by TEK (The Electronic Knights) -- let's watch it!

My 2nd Most Favorite Amiga Demo

The other day I published a video about The Electronic Knight's new demo called "Hologon". It seemed that a lot of people liked that video. So I want to show another of my most favorite Amiga OCS demos. This time it's EON by Black Lotus. There are not terrible many new effects, but everything is highly polished, making this demo a true piece of art.

Let's Code MS DOS 0x1C: The Dweezil Fractal Zoomer

Back in 1993 two Finnish demoscene coders by the names of Dweezil and Tsunami came up (probably independently?) with a graphical effect that became known as the infinite fractal zoomer. Sometims it’s also called the Dweezil zoomer. The Linux xscreensaver knows it by the name of Kumppa. It is a clever and simple algorithm which allows even pretty slow machines to do an impressive infinite rotating zoom. Today I will talk you through the algorithm and we will do the actual implementation in Turbo C, using VGA 320x200 and 256 colors.

I made a video for the first time. It was a trial to see if I had fun and I did have a little bit of fun making it. I also tested out my capture card and enjoyed capturing video from Windows and DOS.

Here is the video

I have a vacancy for a main Windows 98 PC

I made a video of the Digispeech DS201A serial port audio device, as a follow-up to LGR's recent Oddware video on the Digispeech Plus.

Sorry for the unsteady camera. I was holding my phone while typing. 😅

I just uploaded a generic repair video here: https://youtu.be/WwaLiuYaAko
fixing/bypassing power switch in mini wireless keyboard. Something simple and not quite retro, but I plan to record some advanced component-level repair stuff, including BGA memory replacement in early 2000s video cards. May take a bit time though.
I also have some dual tualatin gameplays on this channel, and CPU pin soldering. adbrt channel

About a year ago I acquired a very cheap Atari 2600 Jr. It had only RF output, so I can’t use it on my CM8833-II monitor. A composite mod was required. I decided this time around to get the deluxe mod from The Future Was 8bit and see if it’s worth the extra expense. For extra points, after opening up the Atari, I noticed I have one of the more rare variants without the big metal RF modulator box, but instead have a bunch of discrete components on the board. So where to get the instructions? Luckily archive.org never forgets!

A little less than a week ago I did a video on my experience with how DOS viruses behave when running on a PC-98, a Japanese series of computers that run MS-DOS like IBM PCs but the software is mostly different. I also have another PC-98 related video planned in the future similar to this that I won't spoil.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4QeXOyql07E

By the way, an odd thing happened with this video. A couple days ago it was at 80 something views but I checked just now and it somehow decreased to 31... Kinda discouraging, tbh.

strange for views to drop, it's like an algorithm culls views that aren't really considered views ( ! ), i do wonder how youtube counts views - for instance if it runs 1 second is it a view? Not something i know much about

They periodically weed out spam accounts, so I guess they remove views from such accounts from the stats too. I got an email notification about a response to a video I recently posted. In the email, the message looked suspiciously like spam. And when I went to the video and checked the comments, it was already removed.
