Edit: Are you sure that wasn't a Thunderboard. I see a boxed one that was sold for $25 about a month ago.

I have multiple Thunderboards that I have collected over the past few years as well as a box and other contents that I picked up without a card a while back for cheap.

Yes! Very satisfying once watch ticks strong and accurate.

Watch hobby is labor of love just replacing parts and clean them but no cleaning fluid yet. I had a part time job at a watch/clock repair shop back in the day doing that during high school. When I'm at home I play with them and clean them.

This thing is on hold because of computer parts are sitting on my watchmaker's desk. (home built by stepfather's which was a present for me.)

A two hour trip, but worth it:

This IBM Valuepoint 80846 DX 33 was up for free, but I traded for a G3 iMac I never got round to fixing the screen issue, as I found that more justified. There's a cover as well, but I suppose the innards are more interesting. No cache, but for a system from 1993, it's surprisingly standard (PS/2, CR2032, removable BIOS).

The OverDrive is still in its original wrapping. For € 20,- I could not let this go. It's going to stay in its wrapper for another 27 year, if I can help it.

And Fedex got me 5 Micron mtfddac100sal from Ebay, shipping from the US added 60% to the cost. Customs can't live off love and free air.

Got this off the back of a Hong Kong speedboat. Paired with a Covington 266 and 1000W PSU... I reckon I'll have enough Bitty to retire by 4/20.

I bought a bunch of things as a kind of job lot from someone clearing out, very cheap considering what was there, it seems i cannot resist!

A PC with conroe1333-d667 mb plus 4gb ram and e1200 dual core celeron, supposedly compatible with wolfdale cpu so i actually bought a surprisingly cheap E8200 as modest upgrade and will consider maybe pcie x16 graphics card later, something cheap but ok for 2005-2010 games

other things in the box :

lots of (dusty) fans! and as bonus, lying among them was an AMD XP2000 cpu, i have an XP2400 system so i guess this CPU, if its ok, would be a spare or maybe i'll find something for it
lots of RAM modules, mostly early mid 2000's, always useful
some PCI cards, network and USB plus a 'soundmaker 5.1'
two geforce 4 mx440 agp cards, one didn't appear to work but the other was pressed into service on a duron 800 PC, replacing the TNT2 thus raising the bar on playable games considerably. A somewhat ironic find as recently i've been thinking in terms of buying and spreading out budget cards on my old systems, and then suddenly i get an mx440 in a job lot, for about the same price of an mx440 on ebay!
a couple of multi card reader 'floppy' bay drives, i actually quite like these - they were popular back in early mid 2000's and very handy

Very nice stuff especially the Valuepoint due to dual tag cache sockets should be very nice for large memory, was that from me when I started the trend by first buying pair of Micron P300 100GB SSD drives?

Yup, thanks to you I checked out the specs of the P300's and I found the price , including shipping to the Old Country, reasonable for SLC NAND SSD's.

The performance is good and the size is ideal for late Win98 to mid WinXP machines and even earlier, using a compatible PCI-to-SATA controller or a reliable IDE to SATA converter (Startech 😀).

Well, how should I put it? It is super elusive... for a reason. Anyways, always good to have something with a background story in your collection.

soo... I got another mystery PC ^^
popped up on ebay with "buy it now" and I instantly jumped on it.
all I knew was that it was a 386 33Mhz and had a CF card as hdd, there were no pictures of the back... so why'd I still just get it?
well I've been looking for one of these cases foreeeeever ^^, and I've seen them sell for more just for the case.

but it got even better inside, got surprised by a nice ASUS 386 board, external battery so zero corrosion :3
always wanted to get one of these too but wasn't prepared to pay the prices these usually fetch

so that was the good news... but there also was a not so nice surprise 🙁

Free Antec full tower with 2 SCSI Plextor drivers (only reason I drove 150 km to get it). Some Asus socket 940 mainboard on the inside and some IDE/SATA drives, but I'm chuffed that I finally have the Plextor SCSI back I wanted.

Got three AT-boxes for € 50, one has a low-end onboard TI 486SLC with a socketed coprocessor, the others have 430FX based Pentium boards, nothing fancy and probably a low-end P54C.

I've never seen ULSI as a brand of processing units.

I got a Rendition Vérité V2100 at recycle center.
Is this card better than Rage/II for DOS and early 3d games?

is that a SCSI Zip drive too? Internal SCSI Zip drives are quite uncommon, if it works and you don't want it you could easily sell it for a decent sum.

Nice find, the Asus 386 mobo is fantastic ! Too bad about the Compaq (but personally hate those all-in-ones).

Ok so today stopped at TC thrift store (my fav in this town) and got a Micron Millennia Mme tower plus Micron CRT 17" monitor for $125 USD total plus two NOS old AT/PS2 keyboards (one a Mouse Systems the other a Memorex) for $5 USD
(with my senior discount ). They gave me a 3 day return if they do not work but I have high hopes. Have not tested anything yet but they let me open the tower before purchase and everything was there including original Micron screw-on blue heatsink.
Hopefully it all works. Here is a picture of PC+CRT after loading on the pickup truck:

that Micron system looks mint... also is that a trinitron?
