Have not had a chance to look much up yet. Just unloaded them and here is a tag on back, maybe you can help figure out what the monitor is ?
Please check the monitor spec and let me know, a quick check at the store yielded very little and other were asking about the set so had little time...
Forgot to mention: is missing the original monitor stand but can easier fab one from other things 😉

Yes the tower is in near mint with no yellowing, cracks, etc anywhere, the monitor has a little yellowing on the left side towards bottom of the case but front is still clean.
The mobo is a Intel AN430TX with MMX cpu and HS is not fully centered (why I did not power it up at the store when I examined)..
After I check em over a bit more will see if they work. Please check the monitor as a quick check at the store yielded very little...

your first picture looked like the crt was only curved in one direction (clear identifier of a trinitron tube), but looking up the model number and seeing more pictures it is not, still very nice though ^^

Thanks ! Monitor works just fine. Computer works (after re-gooping / resetting the Heatsink, <old white goop had dried to dust 😀 > )
PSU was wary to try but my good PSU tester with load said it good so am not swapping it out....yet. Floppy works, CDrom works but HD sputters and is not detected. MMX-200 with 64Mb ram and 512K cache (was hoping 1MB).
So just need a diff HD..... am happy with it being a matched set from 1997. And it has Yamaha sound chips on board which is a plus....

ADDED: reseated IDE cables and power and now HD seems to work but am not sure for how long...booted to Winderz 95 heheee

It is indeed, the two Plextor drives and the Zip were connected to (yet another) Adaptec 2940UW. I'll turn this tower (Aopen indeed, my apologies) into a 2001 SCSI powerhouse.

Have managed to buy myself a nice lot comprised of:

- 1x ASUS VL/ISA 486SV2 w/ 486DX2 (unknown speed, but it's a Intel chip)
- 1x PCChips M577 w/ Cyrix M2
- 2x S3 GPUs - one I suspect being a Trio 3D/2X since it's AGP, no idea about the other except it's a PCI card
- 1x Winfast A6200TD 128MB

Will post photos once they arrive and after I clean all the boards. (the M577 is horribly dirty but the fact that it comes w/ a Cyrix makes me think it works alright.)

Indeed, look at those tracks. Infinite L2 cache! I wonder what the board designer was thinking at that moment...and I'm wondering if there is actually a memory die in that chip package.

EDRAM modules are insanely hard to find!

I have two Transputer modules that are each fitted with 2MB of EDRAM. From what I can gather these parts are now impossible to replace:

IIRC those chips are just chunks of plastic with nothing in them. This was a predetermined fraud.

Yes, it's been extensively proven (I believe even x-rays were used at the time this scandal hit the market) that they are simply empty plastic packages.

Looked in side and is a 17" Hitachi labeled tube assembled by Capetronic Corp, 16" viewable 0.26dp. Will do 1600x1200 @60Hz max res.

Yes there is 8KB of fast embeded cache (or 512B per 1MB DRAM) which allows for eliminating latencies during reads/writes (zero waitstates up to 133 MHz).

bought this for $10 dollars today
im not a fan of pcchips, to be honest i really try to stay the hell away from them. But this board alone is being sold on ebay for....133 DOLLARS? WTF !!!

included on the price i paid: 2 memory sticks, cpu fan, k6-2 350, all brackets, a bunch of IDE cables, floppy drive, modem card and an old sis video card.

and thanks to archive.org i was able to get a motherboard cdrom iso from pcchips that included many models (this one included)

Because Ebay deletes everything, I now save Ebay item pages to the Wayback Machine so I can reference them later. Been a life saver for me.

That's a fantastic idea to save those pages to the way back machine. I usually take a bunch of screen shots but your idea is alot better.

i have a boxed pas16
the card broke and trashed it, i kept the box and contents, if you want i can take pictures of it.

You know what's even better? The Wayback Machine browser extension. Get it. Makes archive life a lot easier.

We're talking about the original 8bit PAS. The PAS16 is fairly common. Hang onto that box though! Any old boxes are getting harder to find.
