Here, try this! Sorry if there is a button covering part of some of them. It was tough to get it it to translate every line on some of the pages.

Definitely want to have the original handy for the charts and anything in English though, as the translator butchers them badly. 🤣

Now for some blitting from the back buffer.

I don't see anything useful in the text. Tables are where it's at.

I agree.

If I had to guess, their original sources for some of that data are the English references at the end of the article, but I haven't the time to look them all up and read through them thoroughly.

PCI ID would help confirm what chip it is as well. Nice find, whichever chip it is 😀

Put together a system to do some testing and used this video card so I could verify what it is. The PCI ID is:
VEN_104E&DEV_0217&SUBSYS_00000000&REV_30

That comes back as what I expected - OTI64217

Now to see if I can find actual drivers or if I have to use the drivers that say they work for this from a previous chip.

Edit:
Installed the newest driver I have found so far. It is for the Spitfire cards but detects this card correctly as the OTI64-217. This is really a Win95 driver. The mouse cursor at 640x480 is all corrupted. Changed the resolution to 1024x768 and the mouse cursor disappeared. Found that enabling cursor trails made it show back up again. Weird.

Still looking for a newer driver.

Edit 2:
Found the newest released driver on the archived download page:
http://web.archive.org/web/19980209083137/htt … 0/graptech.html

The mouse cursor behaves correctly in Win98SE with this driver.

On another note, I found the link to the pages for the never released WARP5 drivers... Sadly it was a password protected page and was not archived.

This reminds me, a while back I found information on an Oak "OTI-64311" ( OTI64311 ). I am not sure if someone typoed a '1' for a '7' and they intended to write OTI-64317 (Warp 5 / Warp5), or if Oak had released the wrong info to the tech magazines, or if this was something a little different. I suspect they all intended to refer to OTI-64317.

I think the number is just wrong as the specs match what the 317 was supposed to have.... and it is mentioned that it is the first 3d accelerator from Oak which the 317 was.

Yeah. Good to have confirmation anyways 😀

I cannot find any trace of Toyota hardware. Yet the specs in the table are beasty. Hard to believe they would keep it secret. Could it be some system made out of third-party components?

And you went through all the references they list at the end of the paper?

It seems "Toyota Caelum" made CAD/CAM software, I suspect mainly for Toyota Automotive. So it could be a card that ended up mainly being used by Toyota to 3D design cars and trucks. Just a theory though.

No, I cannot reach many of those. But considering their placement I do not even hope of getting more information.
