ah but the Cuckoo Clock isn't Bavarian its from the Black Forrest region, on the fence which area I prefer, hope the fence I'm sitting on is made of wood! 😜
Wouldn't BMW be the most well known Bavarian company? otherwise they would just be called MW which doesn't have the same ring to it

Yes, HP is another Silicon Valley company that had a case designed by BMW. I had the HP z800 it is a very nice tool less case made of brushed stainless steal.

I really like this HP z series workstation computers. Thats what I use today.
HP is a Very popular computer used in California by allot of people.

I know, but I believe the OP is interested in post card cliché southern Germany and I think that's perfectly summed up in a Cuckoo Clock. I do not believe he cares about regional distinction or authenticity. It is my impression that he just wants something that feels 'traditionally German'. Hence my honest suggestion to get a Cuckoo Clock instead of a computer.👍

I guess adidas would at least be a close second but until BMW makes cars with 'Eiche rustikal' interior or adidas Lederhosen I'll stick with the Cuckoo Clock recommendation. 😉

I am definitely going to use the Intel CPU as this is the CPU used in most German computers and even in the Disney computer which used the FIC ( German company ) motherboard and Infineon memory.

Well.. I guess, -uhm-, it's -uhm- better if.. If modern Germany is being associated in people's mind with Oktoberfest, pretty landscapes and Kuckucksuhren than WW2,
harsh-sounding German voices and people/kids constantly saluting in the public with the Hitlergruß,
while heavy Panzer in the background are on their way to the Autobahn. 🙄

Three pages into a German themed thread and only now the first mention of uncle Dolfie while no mention of football. Times have changed indeed. Mind you, it's a blessing being regarded as a dull, uninteresting nation. Our kingdom is only useful in useless comparisons of size. "Roughly twice the size of Belgium" or "about half the size of Belgium". I'm pretty sure no one who has read that, had an inkling what that comparison resulted in. All fine by me, the less we are bothered, the happier we are.

So I would like to use an Elsa ISA or VLB video card but hard to find.

As you can see the Germans have much an influence in California.
And very much liked.
We are even starting to use more toilets of German design.

That is to be expected with all the smelly brown stuff you have posted here.

I don't think the Swedes would like you stepping on any of their shoes - not just their blue ones.

Here in europe, Adidas has always been popular. To the extent that their goods have always been highly faked. In the 80's every boy at school wanted a pair of black, brown-soled 'Kick' trainers... and in the 90's anyone following football wanted one of the long coats that the players and officials from their favourite club wore at the touchline.

For the second sound card I think I will use something similar to this Turtle Beach Monte Carlo
With Crystal , Opti and OPL3.
It also has a connector for wave table.
This should work well with almost all DOS games.

Germany doesn't have Turtle beaches nor lies Monte Carlo in the Bund. Perhaps Rohde&Schwarz or one of the Diehl subisidiaries might have dabbled in sound processing chips? MP3is, after all, a German invention.

why? terratec has a nearly identical cards, would fit better with the theme.

This is a 486 motherboard with only ISA slots for sound card.

Okay this is NOT a German computer but a German theme computer. Meaning I will be using ENGLISH language as I don’t speak german.
I want to use German products for the American market.
With English printing.

So maybe ELSA and Speva for Video
And Terratec for Audio.
But I also want it to play games good.
So I want to use the Crystal chip and OPL3 and Wave table
That’s why I choose a second sound card.
