I am still looking for a compatible connector but I have pretty much run out of ideas.

SCP-55 seems to use a bespoke connector. At least I've never seen one like this on any card.
I would monitor Yahoo auctions to get another MCB-3 (pops up once in a while) and modify as needed.

Edit: Actually it reminds me of the connector of TDK MC/DMC cards but with more pins. The frame of both TDK and Roland cards is from Hirose. The connector must be also some custom\rare Hirose production.

By the way, I'm looking for the CD that came with TDK DMC9000. Could someone image it and upload somewhere please?

Took me a while as I got carried away with getting the updates and translating the README files and update information for the archived TDK web page. This is everything including the floppies and updates:

Here are some more archived pages that should be of use. I may convert them to translated documents at some point:

A couple of pictures of DSP Solutions PCMCIA sound card. Not sure it was ever released. The web page says:
OEM Basis Only! Contact us NOW!!
So it was supposed to be produced by third parties. Which they never did, I guess. Unless anyone have any evidences that this card was actually sold.

I know you have almost everything 😀 Wondering if you own either Media Magic or Magic Tempo card too.
Never seen one for sale, not even any traces. Just mentioned by someone in this thread several years ago.

Guys, I've got question regarding something new, PCMCIA Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Notebook. I'm using this card to have EAX in my old laptops. Good thing, works perfect. But for my surprise i've missed Creative Feature Utility that allows user to utilize laptop's internal speakers. Previously i was limited to use headphones only.

The problem is that i'm getting growing sound delay when I use this “path-through mode”. At first it is absent, but as long as I play a lag between my action and sound response becomes more and more obvious.

I've tried drivers from 2006, tried one from 2009. No luck.

Found another card (or two). Not sure if it's something new or some kind of a clone. Almost no information about this card.
It's a Noteworthy Audio PC Card NWAUD01
Looks like it was used in Toshiba Satellite 105CS notebooks.

https://www.cnet.com/products/noteworthy-scsi … pc-card-pcmcia/
Bot there is no information about it at all.

Unfortunately сould not find the old site of the Noteworthy company.

Do you have the original install CD?

If it isn't on vogonsdrivers.com, I'll image and upload one or both that I have. I have both the boxed and plastic packaged versions of this card.

What laptop are you using the card on? Have you tried the same thing on a different laptop and getting the same results?

Edit: vogonsdrivers has a 2004 install CD. I'll double check versions when I am home and see if I have a different one

I do have cd but never used it. My logic is simple, manufacturer driver cd is just an old stuff and it’s always better to download latest from official site. I just missed this utility in the first place but now I’ve got it.

Strange, why they didn’t provide this feature in driver itself?

I’ll give a try on another laptop soon.

A lot of the time, Creative didn't release updates for some stuff that came on the CD and they also don't provide a download for it.

Sometimes they provide updates that require stuff to already installed from the CD.

Just in case, here is the disk that came with my card. It works perfectly for me and and can also output to built in speakers.

Hi, I acquired a PCMCIA Digital 16bits audio adapter, but I'm unable to get it working on DOS games. In theory that card is a clone of an IBM PCMCIA sound card (IBM 3D Sound Card, but I'm not absolutely sure). I'm working on a Toshiba T1950CS laptop, on MS-DOS 6.22 and windows 3.1. I installed the DOS pc card service and the DOS driver of the sound card.

Here are my Autoexec.bat :
PATH c:\DOS622\;c:\DOS622\CARDWARE
SET BLASTER=A220 I10 D1 T5

and Config.sys :
DEVICE=c:\DOS622\HIMEM.SYS
DEVICE=c:\DOS622\EMM386.EXE RAM HIGHSCAN X=CF00-CFFF (according to the Readme file, we have to reserve that address space for the sound card driver)
DEVICE=c:\DOS622\CARDWARE\PCSS.EXE
DEVICE=c:\DOS622\CARDWARE\PCCS.EXE
DEVICE=c:\DOS622\CARDWARE\PCENALE.EXE
DEVICE=c:\DOS622\AUDIO\PCAUDDD.SYS /IRQ=10

The sound card works perfectly on Windows. There is a PCDIAG and a PCDEMO dos utils on the driver floppy, the PCDIAG says all is good and the sound test works properly. On the PCDEMO, the test sound file starts but only for some milisec. I added the BLASTER environment variable and tried with several configurations. I tried to use the sound card with DOS games : Warcraft (the first one), JAZZ Jackrabbit, and Sid Meyer's Civilization (the first one). On Warcraft setup, there is a sound card autodetection, but it is unable to detect the sound card (tried as a sound blaster, sound blaster II, sound blaster 16, sound blaster pro, compatible sound blaster). None of those games are able to use the sound card. Any help is welcome 😀 Thanks.

This card is not a clone of IBM 3D sound card. It’s a clone of IBM 16 bit Audio Adapter. It does not work in DOS games at all, unfortunately. It comes with a wav/midi player for DOS. No other dos software is supported.
I would try to rem the emm386 in cofnfig.sys. It may prevent the card from working in pcdemo.
