Never had a Permedia 1, but had a few Permedia 2s. Solid, trouble-free cards with excellent OpenGL functionality, but performance obviously wasn't geared towards games. I like the fact this is PCI, not AGP, and that piggybacked RAM expansion add depth to it. Sort of reminds me of the Diamond Stealth 3D 3000 (Virge/VX). Performance is probably in same league too: https://vintage3d.org/3dlabs2.php

Of possible interest is Creative CGL compatibility, which may exist.

Only thing bought lately is box of NOS 3.5" floppy disks and a few small CF cards (1GB thru 32Gb) all in a bag bundled together for less than a cheeseburger. The CF card-USB reader cable was not in the bag but cost $2 extra.
Also bought a reprint of model 721/722 original manual off Ebay. Getting back into my second hobby is a bit more challenging...

Yes, it´s the Rev1.06 and should support Coppermines.

There's a chance, since it's a 1.06 https://www.asus.com/us/SupportOnly/P2B-D/HelpDesk_CPU/ but maybe the HIP6019BCD is what makes the "later shipments" of the 1.06 compatible?

[Edit]: Mine's a 1.05 and came with 667MHz Slot 1's .. And been acting as a home server at a friend's family, so I'm pretty sure it has been running with that ..

[Edit2]: Mine's a DS - would that make a difference?

The main reason for this purchase is to finally finish my massive Mathemetica, Inc. Tempra software archival project which is getting close to done. I am trying to grab as many variants of the software as I can before calling it a success.

That photo is quite the bird’s eye view. Once you stick those Cardinals in their cages it will be interesting to hear how they sing. Anyone reading this post best not get their feathers ruffled due to my fowl puns.

Received this puppies today, ~8 USD for both. Seller claimed both work perfectly ( I haven't tested them yet):

- Asus P5S-B (Socket 7)
- Biostar M7VKQ (Socket A/462 - With ISA SLOT! Actually the first EVER 462 board I've seen with ISA slots for sale around here).

with 5ns RAM this is a good candidate for a 200/200 voodoo3

Bought a GD5430 video card since it has well defined tracks design suitable for improvement mods and it looked like it was designed according to half PCI reference and cirrus logic reference design notes.

Good. Got a nos GD5434 not long ago, only 1Mb but has the two empty sockets.
So what are your improvement mods going to be ?

Found 3 boxes of new 720k DD/DS floppies today and more 1.44Mb for a $1 box. Boxes look a bit rough but were still sealed till I got them.
Nothing else good since the Micron Millenia Mme purchase back in April 🙁

Standard method, that was a side view of the 30 pack, the ten packs are like you are looking at the floppy label. Guess I should have set the boxes the same orientation 😀
