For DOS, I would try UNISOUND ( UNISOUND - Universal ISA PnP Sound Card Driver for DOS v0.81b ). I would guess it supports that CS4231.

Scratch that, I only see the CS4232 mentioned.

Check out DOSBox Distro:

a lightweight Linux distro (tinycore) which boots off a usb flash drive and goes straight to DOSBox.

Make your dos retrogaming experience portable!

Based on Re: ProSonic 16 and Mozart. What is known about these cards? and its linked image (recovered through aechive.org) https://web.archive.org/web/20140910005921/ht … 8/dsc02992k.jpg , your card is very similar to the and likely uses the chipset as the one in the post. The chipset is hence probably a an Oak OTI601 (aka Mozart) .

IMPORTANT NOTE : this page IS NOT currently working through HTTPS and I linked the HTTP version , so clicking on the link might no work. Please right-click on the link, copy it and then past it into a new browser tab or window :

See here for drivers : http://www.philscomputerlab.com/btc-1820-moza … oak-oti601.html
HTTPS link is here (hopefully it will work again at some point) : https://www.philscomputerlab.com/btc-1820-moz … oak-oti601.html

Also, Unisound is unlikely to work as it does not support any Oak audio controllers. The CS4231 is just a CODEC, it is not directly supportable .

thanks guys, the card works fine. I am actually surprised, this card is not that bad. With little bit tweaking this is ok card for Windows and DOS gaming.
