Got all of this from a guy who wanted only a few DDR3 mem sticks for the lot. Have to test everything and see if it all works. Now I just have to find the am2cpu upgrade board somewhere and test how my HD3850 AGP works with a better cpu.

Sweet find! Is that the weird AsRock mobo that had PCIe and AGP and the abiity to use use either an 754 or 939 socket CPU? I remember salivating over it at the time but went with a DFI board instead for overclocking.

To make it a lot weirder it also had an option add-on cpu card for AM2 processors.

~ At least it can do black and white~

I'm kinda mad at myself today... wasn't paying attention while browsing a "local classifieds site" and Sony GDM-W900 went by me in a day for a very reasonable price 🙁 Not to mention 5 years ago I missed FW900 the same way 🙁 I guess it's not meant to be 🤣

Hah, yeah that sucks, I've seen good deals sell in the time it takes me to find out what time I can use the car to go get it.

I'm mad because ad was added three days ago. And I watch it multiple times a day. Even saw the monitor when it was listed but just didn't realized what it was - 1st photo was very up close and I just skipped it. It took me three days to finally see it. But it was too late - it was already reserved. Later today it was sold 🙁

Eh.. I did exactly the same with a mint 29" Trinitron. Can't remember the exact model offhand, but I checked and it was a very desirable one for retro/console gaming. Bid $1 for local pickup. Thinking "nah, nobody else in my small area would ever touch this".

Fast forward to the auction finish, and I completely forgot all about it until many hours too late. Some other dude got it for $1.50. Bastard! That was over 1 year ago, and my local market has never had anything like that since.

I got this little 387 fella the other day. I assume I can just stick it the socket on my board (centered and oriented correctly of course)?

Bummer. .. I had a marketplace listing bookmarked for weeks, sat there for weeks, box of meh parts for $30, now it was a real grainy photo, and there was a low profile GeForce in there that didn't look very special, thought it was a 210 or similar, terrible photo, and I can't use any more obsolete low spec PCIe. Only reason I had it bookmarked really was in case it came about I needed a 2.5 SATA drive, or a laptop optical or whatever else generic kinda stuff was there, forget now, though think there was an OEM SB Live too... all piled in haphazard so it didn't get you thinking these were premium guaranteed working parts anyway... so I was looking at pics of GPUs for some other reason and suddenly, a capacitor configuration rang a bell, *CLANG* that's a 1030Ti, I could USE a 1030Ti, check the pic I had saved and zoomed against google image again, now I was frigging certain it's a 1030... go back and pull up listing... SOLD. ... don't think it was sold very long either because I think it swam back across my feed only a day or so prior.

Looks like it. I have 2 boards with the similar 387/486 socket.

Very nice motherboard. Supports almost every PGA132 and also 486DX/DX2 cpus.

Yes. FPU goes into the 486DX socket.

To utilize the board better, get at least some 486DLC. VLB graphic card will benefit from it as with the 386 cpu there isn't much difference in speed between ISA and VLB graphic card. Although you have better selection of VLB cards in any case.

But beware, orientation may not always be as it seems logical AFAIR

Please use the "quote" option if asking questions to what I write - it will really up the chances of me noticing 😀

Hmmm, okay. So, the "dot" on the chip might not go towards the marked inner corner (triangle) on the socket? That seems unlikely...

Bought two PCs from my usual ewaste source for $70.

First one is in an inverted style AT case which I'd been trying to find an example of for a bit.
J73OPLj.jpg
Had a nice socket 3 pci board inside (MSI 4144), AMD 5x86, and an Aztech sound card with OPL, worked great as well!
fWelLvj.jpg
Second is a pretty normal AT socket 7 system, but had a 12mb V2 inside.

Pretty happy as usual =)

Picked up a Roland Um-4 usb midi interface because it was 6 $. I have no idea what to use it for.

Two 120mm fans of unknown brand but seemingly good quality, one of which are half thickness, why is that? Should it be mounted in a tight place like a graphics card maybe?

Oh and a ps/2 ball mouse to match my Fujitsu machine! 😁

Picked up one of these 0.3MP CF cameras for my iPAQ so I can take craptacular photos with it. I don't know why I bought it honestly. It was only $7 shipped, so maybe that's why haha.

haha, that was another level of complete garbage. My buddy had one back in the day with the printer. Even back then I thought it sucked. 🤣

Picked up this Microsoft Intellimouse from eBay the other day - it's pretty much immaculate just a bit yellow! I bought it with the PS/2 to Serial adapter (and the free DOS 5 boot floppy with a mouse driver which was nice!).

However, turn the mouse over and anyone see the problem here?

It's the PS/2 version! Not the one that can also do serial.... nevermind!

Not sure when it says Mouse Port - I think it needs to say 'Serial' and note that it uses 12V according to this thread MS IntelliMouse 1.1A Serial Support?
