I can't seem to find the MR BIOS for the Opti 82C495SX chipset. It looks like according to the Opti document, it should be file V068B470 but it seems to be missing. Was anyone able to recover this file?

Looking through the list, I don't see any MR BIOS for any motherboards with the 430LX mercury chipset.

I have an Asus VL/I-486SV2G in the basement with a MR-BIOS 3.x in it (upgraded when windows 95 came out to allow bigger than 504MB disk). If someone can tell me how to dump the bios I can do that. Can it be done from DOS?

You can use debug.exe or try the NSSI utility from Navrátil Software.

Hmm, I tried romsavat and debug and while it saves what looks like the bios, the checksum is wrong. I think MR used the bios shadow feature to prevent easy copying of the rom. They were after all selling these to people. I guess it is going to need a programmer to read this correctly. I should look into getting one, I have been meaning to for years.

I have a Sis 85C471 board and I'd like to test that ROM, yes.
I have a Tl866ii Plus and I like it. Not familiar with the 3G. I imagine it is pretty similar.

Cleverly they don't give you an option to turn of shadow. You can pick shadow WP or shadow RW. That's it.

SPEEDSYS 4.7x have command line option for saving BIOS
You should turn off any shadowing in BIOS and boot your system without HIMEM, EMM and other drivers.

Well there is no choice to disable shadow in this BIOS. I checked every setting. So I think this is just a hint that I should buy that eeprom burner I have been thinking of getting. It's a good excuse. Then I can also test that a copy of the image actually boots so that might be a good idea anyhow.

You can try to dump it with Speedsys without disabling shadowing.

Get the T48 you won't regret it

Not on this version. I can set it to ROM #1, and the BIOS area still shows the same two options. Well it was worth a try. I better order that eeprom burner as soon as I figure out which bundle includes the correct adapter for reading BIOS chips and such.

Mine is version 3.21, which may be different than the 1.x versions.
Please dump it, been waiting long for this day, when someone appears that has it! Very excited to see this!!
T48 (TL866-G3) ordered. When I get it I will try to see if I can't get a valid dump of it. I am curious which bytes it is hiding with the shadow ram.
