Single slot quiet cooling solution for GeForce 4 4200 Ti?

I'm currently using a GeForce4 4200 Ti with a fanless Zalman heatsink. While it performs fine and it completely silent, the heatsink does take up a lot of space occupying an extra slot on either side of the card.

I'd like to replace this will a quiet solution that would only take up a single slot, at least for the front the card (the back I don't care about). This way it won't block a PCI slot.

The case I'm using (Fractal Design Define R5) does have an option for a 120mm or 140mm fan on the side panel above the slots. This would be in addition to the two 140mm intake fans and 140mm rear exhaust fan currently installed.

I'm not sure if a 140mm fan would push enough air, since it wouldn't be concentrated on the AGP slot specifically. Might it be better to have a smaller 80mm or 120mm fan more directly positioned over or behind the AGP card?

Any ideas for either heatsinks to use? Fan/heatsink combos? My goal is to keep the noise down, but the video card cool.

DeepCool V65 VGA cooler can do what you want, but I'm not sure if it's being produced anymore. You might still be able to get a NOS one from some retailers, if you're lucky.

Here's how it looks on my Ti4200.

If you feel like adapting a newer cooler i would use this https://www.techpowerup.com/review/zalman-zm- … f1000led/2.html it can probably keep the gpu cool without even using the fan and it takes a single slot

I'd just get a much newer card for the cooler. Something like the single slot variants of Geforce 8600/9500/GT220 series cards. Possibly a faulty/untested one if they are much cheaper though these cards cost less then a cooler anyway and the availability is high.

I have one of those coolers on a 4850 and while it works well and is quiet, it unfortunately it does use up the adjacent slot. So it won't work in the situation I have in mind.

I tried searching Ebay and some other places, but it looks like those coolers are sold out. I put a search notification on Ebay in case one happens to show up.

I also found these Startech coolers on Ebay that look similar (https://www.ebay.ca/itm/325951287233?itmmeta= … YgAAOSwmR9lkyBQ).

Don't know if they are any good though.

That's certainly an idea. Hadn't really thought about cannibalizing a cooler from another card.

I imagine they would probably need some modding depending on the heatsink layout, but that shouldn't be terribly difficult.
