Hi all,

My Brother BC7486 PC has a NCR 77C22E VGA chipset intergrated into the motherboard.
Games like Tomb Raider and Pirates: Gold work great at 640x480 @ 256 colors under DOS with one of those VESA extension TSR programs, but Windows is stuck at 16 colors.
I tried SciTech Display Doctor, I tried the standard Super VGA driver, and from what I can find this card doesn't officially support Windows 95.

Does anybody know how I could get Windows 95 to run at 256 colors?

Thanks

I tried SciTech display doctor 5.3a as well -- it tells me the NCR SVGA 77C22E chip has been detected but isn't supported by SciTech

Maybe it will work with the windows 3.1 drivers which you can find here?

https://www.ardent-tool.com/NCR/3350.html

Failing that, install Windows 3.1, then the drivers, then upgrade windows from 3.1 to 95.
