VOGONS

the topic starts with the well known t2p4:
manual gives a few voltage options of 2.9, 2.8, 2.7 and 2.5 volts(newer revisions may have an additional 3.2v), but as the wiring schematic has been analyzed long before, undocumented settings have become well known as in this page.

now, i have seen multiple socket7 boards(fic for example) using seemling similar jumpers for setting voltage, all down to 2.5volts minimum. is it possible to find out whether they do use a similar voltage regulating layout and to achieve lower voltage by capping multiple jumpers at a same time?
if possible, i would rather try getting 2.2v on boards with p55c support and run a k6-3 at 66*6, which would draw ~11amps of currency according to datasheet. can any socket7 board with split voltage handle that?
last and least, has this idea ever been discussed before?

The K6 Plus! forum is gone, but here is a snapshot of their K6 compatibility list that covers most motherboards that have the correct voltage for these CPUs. http://web.archive.org/web/20240611151600/htt … com/compatlist/

argh, archive.com is blocked in china for whatever reason. can you post a screenshot of that?

Here is most of it. Jan Steunebrink has a list of boards that are compatible, including ones that he has patched the BIOS for K6-2/3+ CPU support, hopefully it too isn't blocked for you.

thanks for the alternative page and screenshots. however, they seem to list boards with official voltage support for k6-2/2+, and those without are all marked "Note that the lowest Vcore setting on this board is 2.5V(or sth else) so a modification to the Vcore resistor network, or a Voltage Regulator adapter, is needed".
what i want is to identify boards that could be using a similar way of voltage regulation to the t2p4, so that i can achieve undocumented low voltages?
