Hi all,

I do apologize if this has been asked and answered before, I could not find any information after searching.

I am trying to install an old application through DB since trying to install it through the regular windows prompt (Windows XP) returns various errors and goes nowhere. However, when I launch the installation file, it is only able to detect the Z:\ which is obviously not an installable drive so I am unable to proceed.

I have tried mounting my physical drives to different directories and have the folder with the installation files mounted directly, but no matter what I do it seems drive 'Z' is all that is detected by the installation program.

So my question is, can anyone help me in figuring out how to get a directory or drive mounted so it is detectable through DOS installation programs? For the record, the install I'm working with is for an old games compilation CD (Mega Games) although I do not believe that it is an application-specific problem.

Thank you for any information you may offer.

it's probably application specific problem
if you mounted the drives and you can acces them from dosbox which is most likely as you can start the installer then everything should be allright.

You can try a newer experimental build of dosbox. Perharps this type of installer was fixed.
You can find that build in the development forum. Look for the name CVS BUILDS

I Just tried manually entering the path to a mounted drive through the install program (even though the path was not listed as an available location) and that seemed to work fine. Thanks!
