Does anybody know if there is any way to run VDMSound in a window other than the full-screen mode?

Only if the program itself can be run in a window (IOW, only if it stays in text mode). For 99.9% of what's out there, that means "No".

For the record, bludelfino, this is a limitation imposed by Windows NT/2000/XP ant not by VDMSound. Whenever a DOS program (like the games you want to play) tries to use a graphic mode, Windows switches the NTVDM to full screen.
