Take note that for use in 6100 machines, you'll need an angle adapter if you don't already have one.

The memory on the card isn't shared with the rest of the system, if that's what you're asking.

Yhea it was. So to utilize the VRAM I need to have the monitor hooked up the the card hosting the VRAM. The site I was reading wasn't clear on that and implied once installed the VRAM was shared. Which means I'll need an adaptor for my audio vision monitor.

The HDI-45 port was only found on that monitor and the PM6100/7100/8100's built in video was the only thing that had the matching port. Honestly its easier to just use a VGA monitor at this point. Apple did make an adapter that allowed one to connect the AudioVision 14 to a standard Mac DB-15 port (split out the video,audio, and ADB functions of the HDI-45 jack), but its difficult to find.

Have you seen anything to indicate that the AudioVision is capable of resolutions greater than 640x480?

ah, your right. If I want to take advantage of a better res I suppose I'll need a diffrent monitor. Shame, I like the look and convinence of the audiovison.

The Audiovision looks nice with a 6100 because its proportioned for the short pizza box case.
