I recently replaced my AWE64 Gold with an AWE64 CT2760 Rev. 3 (wanted OPL3 and soundfont > 4MB).
Everything seems to be working as it should in DOS.
In Windows 98SE, I did a search for new hardware, and Windows found three devices:
* Creative Advanced Wave Effects Synthesis for AWE 32
* Creative Sound Blaster 16 or AWE-32
* Gameport Joystick
However, it also found six "Unknown Devices."
I believe that three of these are for the CD-ROM interfaces, and one is for the MPU-401. Not sure what the other two are. Windows sound seems to work fine, but I'd like to get rid of these unknowns if possible.
Is there a way to disable the CD-ROM interfaces via jumper? I checked Stason, but didn't see an option. Also, any idea where I might find the drivers for the other two devices? I tried installing with the 3 floppy set on Vogonsdrivers, but it is missing the Accessories Disk. The AWE32 PNP CD-ROM on Vogonsdrivers installed the applications fine, but I'm not finding the drivers on it.
