Hi!

I have the ancient Hebrew word processor, "Alef-Bet" - version 6.5.

It works with XP, but in DOSbox it always gets completly stuck whenever I click "open document" or "new document" and I have to forcefully shut off DOSBox.

Well, it's not that I want to run DOSBox just to spite Microsoft, but mainly I want easier Hebrew support.
In XP, I have to install a Hebrew font from a (Hebrew) Windows 9x/ME and then manually write it as the "woafont" in "system.ini" (and it only takes effect after I log off and then on again from the system...)
In DOSBox, I just load "Alef-Bet" using "withfont.exe hebrewfont alef-bet" (for some reason, the general "loadfont" doesn't work at all, only the direct "withfont").

So how come XP's dos emulator beats the usually superior DOSBox?

P.S.
What ever happened to the CPI suggestion from the aforementioned URL?

Well, in the process of playing with its files, I accidentally deleted the main file...and I don't think anyone on Earth still has it.
So I guess that's the end of this problem...

However, if anyone cares, the older version 5.20 does work in DOSBox!

Well, except that it always claims that "the file is on use" when it loads (it doesn't happen when I start it with XP).
But Qbix has already fixed this problem in the CVS!
Thanks, Qbix! 😀

I'll report back once it makes it into the official DOSBox.
